Sunrise, Sunset

It always amazes me how people who live in areas with gorgeous views, how seldom the homes are oriented so that the occupants can see those views.  That is one reason we chose this property.  The western view is marvelous.  I thought I would want to have my morning desk face east to watch the sunrise (I loved that once when we lived on a 3rd floor of an apartment on 45th south in Taylorsville and  watched the sunrise as I studied the scriptures.)  I've noticed here that you notice the sunrise in the west;  Don always quotes these lines from this poem when I mention it.

In front the sun climbs slow, how slowly!

One morning I took successive pictures to illustrate this.

We don't get the fabulous sunrises you see in Salt Lake.  (Read that to mean that we are not polluted like Salt Lake).  I think I am going to have my desk face west instead of east.  We do get some nice sunsets, however.  We will have a porch on the west side of the house where we can goout and enjoy the sunset and there will also be several western windows.

 Interesting cloud formation with rain.
Pat says there is a fire feeding into this sunset.  We saw no sign of a fire the next day.
